The Role
We are looking for a brand-centric Senior Strategic Planner. This role requires a rare hybrid of a creative and digital thinker who loves leading client projects from end-to-end. You are someone who brings the best of traditional strategic planning practices into the digital brand-building world of Bonsey Jaden. You will be the hub for cultural, industry, and audience insights across the Bonsey Jaden business as you collaborate with the equally brand-centric minds of the Creative, Social, Media, Technology, and PR teams. Learning opportunities are rich, as well as opportunities to add value. You have a goal of working towards being a Strategic Planning Manager, leading a small team of planners in the region.
Key Responsibilities
  • Developing brand communication strategies that meet the client’s business and communication needs, while being highly resonant to their target audiences.
  • Identifying and tracking market trends, consumer behaviour, and cultural insights that keep our work fresh and relevant for our brands.
  • Interpreting client briefs and feedback to determine feasible and suitable strategies and tactics, and to ensure clear and single-minded direction for creative work.
  • Being the brand guardians and strategic communications counsel for our retainer clients.
  • Representing our strategic points-of-view in client meetings, across pitch / proposal presentations or retainer account work sessions.
  • Supporting creative development by providing best practices and executional references that serve as catalysts for ideation.
  • Provide direction in project delivery to ensure the right teams and initiatives are mobilised to produce our best work.
  • Developing and overseeing junior strategists, with potential for management responsibilities.
  • Contributing to Bonsey Jaden’s quarterly Culture Club strategy report.
  • Crafting Case Studies for our agency credentials archive.

In Bonsey Jaden, our strategists are involved beyond pitch and proposal development. You will be exposed to, if not leading, projects such as (but not limited to):

  • Campaign Strategy Development

  • Campaign Analysis and Next Steps Planning
  • E-commerce and Social Commerce Campaigns
  • App Marketing
  • Market Research Projects (e.g., survey development, data analysis, report development)
  • Workshop Development and Facilitation
  • Insighting for UI/UX
  • Persona Development
Key Qualities We Look For

  • 4-7 years of experience in digital / creative industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a traditional college or university.
  • Passion for culture and human behaviour, and a critical eye for brand design and communications.
  • A strong proactive drive to develop a career as a multi-disciplinary strategist.
  • A true, approachable collaborator who leaves their ego at the door.
  • Comfortable with working with multicultural teams across our offices and clients in APAC and US.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in a second language in our relevant markets preferred.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Preferred Qualities:
    • Experience in Google Suite : Slides, Sheet, Drive, etc.
    • Experience in Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, social listening and other digital  performance metrics.
